Ethos and Values
At Blessed Dominic, all are valued, all can achieve and all are loved. We have high expectations of each member of our school community and are committed to our school mission. We pride ourselves on our welcoming Catholic ethos, founded on the teachings of Jesus.
Blessed Dominic Catholic Primary School aims to unite school, home and parish as a Christian community, in which every individual is valued and respected.
We promote education for life, developing the academic, spiritual, emotional, social and physical potential of all the children in our care.
With the love of Jesus we will grow in faith together.
LOVE – LEARN – BELIEVE
We aim to provide within our Catholic ethos:
Attendance
Attendance has a direct impact on your child's education. It is extremely important that your child arrives at school on time to start the school day, Whenever possible please make medical appointments outside of school hours, as any time missed can be detrimental to teaching and learning. It is also important that your child is collected on time at the end of the school day, or after school clubs.
Absence
The School operates a 'First Day Response' system. Please contact the school office on the first day of your child's absence to inform us why your child is not at school. We ask that you co-operate with us by not booking holidays during term time. Persistent unauthorised absences will be
investigated by the Barnet Educational Welfare Officer.
School Uniform
The school uniform is an integral part of who we are at Blessed Dominic Catholic Primary School. All pupis are expected to wear the correct full school uniform every day. You will be able to purchase school uniforms from the office on a Tuesday and Thursday morning 9.00am - 11.30am
