Class Teacher- Miss Molloy

Classroom Assistant- Mrs Stanley

Welcome to our new class page for 2019-2020. Here you will be able to see any important upcoming dates, homework for your child and have a look at what we get up to in the classroom.

Dear Year 1 Parents,

We will be setting home learning tasks daily as well as some projects and practical activities for your child to complete at home. Children may find it challenging to complete work when surrounded by their toys, books and games so it is important that their activities are done in short bursts.

Can you write a prayer, thanking God for helping you to grow this year? Think of some things that you have learned to do this year, or some nice things that have happened and include them in your own prayer.

It would be lovely if you could send in pictures of your prayers so that we can share them with the other children in the class.

Collective Worship- 10th March 2020

Thanks to everyone who joined us for our collective worship on Tuesday. We looked at how we could be peacemakers in the world and we all read out the things we promise to do to be peacemakers from now on.

World Book Day – 5th March 2020

We had a brilliant day at school for World Book Day. We read the story ‘The Day the Crayons Quit’ and got to do some lovely letters and maths problems based on the story, as well as designing our very own crayons. We also got to bring in our favourite bedtime stories from home to share and read with our friends!!

World Book Day Workshop- 2nd March 2020

We really enjoyed learning all about George’s Marvellous Medicine during our workshop for world book day. We got to act out different scenes from the story and some of us even got to put on some costumes!!
