Welcome

Welcome to our school website. We are a very happy and successful school in Colindale and have been serving the Catholic community for nearly 50 years. We were judged to be ‘Outstanding’ in our most recent Inspection and the Lead Inspector noted how the ‘…balance of excellent care and guidance and academic challenge..’ has resulted ‘…in all year groups making outstanding progress’ (June 2019).

Our wide and varied curriculum is carefully planned to reflect current events. Recently, the whole school was immersed in a local study topic to coincide with our move to our brand new school.
We provide the opportunity for pupils to achieve their full potential in a spiritual, academic and moral climate that is based on the Gospel Values. Our culturally diverse school is an integral part of the local community and is known for its warmth and friendliness and its desire to do the very best for the children in our care.

Our ultimate goal is to instil in our children a love of learning and a passion for life itself. We hope that this in turn will ensure that children leave Blessed Dominic School as well rounded individuals who are fully equipped to deal with the opportunities and challenges that they will face in the future.

Thank you for visiting our website.

The Season of Advent
Each year, the season of Advent marks the beginning of a new Church
Year. 2021–2022 is earmarked as Year C within the three-year liturgical
cycle, when we read from Luke’s Gospel on most Sundays.
Throughout this period of Advent – contrary to what the media would
have us believe! – we prepare not just for Christmas festivities, presents
and good food, but for the coming of our Lord

The Wednesday Word

Sharing Sunday’s Gospel, connecting Home, School & Parish with the Sunday Gospel to pray for the best for our children.

“The materials produced by The Wednesday Word are already used extensively
throughout the dioceses in England and Wales – bringing remarkable graces to many.”
Cardinal Vincent Nichols. President, Catholic Bishops’ Conference of England and Wales.

The Wednesday Word is an excellent resource that can be used in the class and
at home to reflect on the issues and messages present in the liturgies.”
