School Sports Council
The Blessed Dominic Sports Council gives our pupils a voice in shaping sport and movement across our school. As Catholics, we believe that our bodies are gifts from God, and we have a responsibility to care for ourselves, develop our God-given talents and support the wellbeing of others.
Our Sports Council representatives listen to the views and ideas of their classmates and help inform our PE curriculum, sporting opportunities and participation in intra-school competitions. Through their leadership, they put our school values of resilience, kindness, honesty, inclusivity, patience and forgiveness into action.
Our pupils are encouraged to use their talents to serve others, ensuring that everyone has the opportunity to be active, have fun and feel included. From helping to organise sporting events to leading whole-school challenges such as our Barnet Skipping Challenge and the Blessed Dominic World Cup, our Sports Council helps us build a community.
